![]() If you are using the Eyedropper tool on the toolbar, there is the possibility of a corrupt configuration file, see here for how to clear a corrupt configuration and return FireAlpaca to its original state. If you mean the color selector bars or wheel in the Color control window, check that the “transparency chip” is not the one selected (has a red square around it), and that the “foreground colour chip” is the one with a red square around it. (You can also do the same with the mouse right-button and some mouse utilities.) If the side button is set to the Delete key, which can be a very useful setting for some pen-based notetaking programs, vector editing programs, and some word processors, then the pen setting will override any FireAlpaca settings and send the Delete key signal, which by default will clear the current layer. If you are using the side-button on your pen, check your pen settings. If by ”color picker tool” you mean the Eyedropper tool, how are you using it?
